Description
The Turko-Mongol saber had a long, curved blade with a single cutting edge. It was the longer variant of the Ild.
Uses
The Turko-Mongol saber was pitted against the Falcata of Hannibal for close range weapons. The two swords were first tested on foot against 4 sides of beef. Both swords achieved 4 kill strikes, but the Falcata was more precise. The two swords were then tested from horseback against a pig carcass. This time the Turko-Mongol Saber achieved a kill and the Falcata did not. The edge was given to the Turko-Mongol Saber for it's longer blade and cutting power.
When the Golden Horde invaded Russia; they influenced the weapons of the region. This eventually led to the creation of the Russian saber; the Sablia.
