The SKS is a Soviet made semi-automatic carbine. It was a weapon used by the Viet Cong but not officaly tested in the Deadliest Warrior Fight Club.

Description[]

  • Weight: 3.85 kg (8.5 lb)
  • Length: 40 in (1,020 mm)
  • Barrel Length: 520 mm
  • Ammo: 7.62x39 mm M43
  • Action: Short stroke gas piston, tilting bolt, self-loading
  • Rate of Fire: 35-40 rounds/min
  • Feed System: 10 round stripper clip, internal box magazine

Uses[]

The SKS was brought into service in 1949. The Soviet Union exported these carbines too it's allies as the Soviets fell in favor with the AK-47. Communist backed forces obtained these weapons from North Korea, China and North Vietnam.
