The RPD (Ruchnoy Pulemyot Degtyaryova, English: hand-held machine gun of Degtyaryov) is a Soviet-made light machine gun. It was the Close-Range weapon of Pol Pot.

Uses
The RPD was developed in the Soviet Union during World War II, and remained in service with the Red Army until the 1960's, when it was replaced by the RPK. It is still in service in a number of countries around the world.
