The PKM Machine Gun is a general purpose machine gun designed in the Soviet Union and currently in production in the United States. It was the Long-Range weapon of the Somali Pirates.

Uses

The PKM (Пулемёт Калашникова Модернизированный: Pulemyot Kalashnikova Modernizirovanni, Russian for Kalishnikov's Machine-gun Modernized) is a lighter version of the earlier PK machine gun. It can be used as a light anti-aircraft weapon when put on an AA mount. It is used in Russia and most former Eastern Bloc nations. Because of it's low price and high durability it is one of the most common machine guns in the world.

In the episode, the PKM was tested against the M60 Machine Gun used by the Medellin Cartel. The PKM was given the edge, due to it jamming less than the M60. The PKM has a 90-100 reliability (Jams after firing 90 rounds according to test).
