The M24 was adopted as the standard sniper rifle of the US Army in 1988. It is also commonly used by SWAT teams and the Israeli Defense Forces.
The Dragunov and M24 were tested on multiple targets. The Dragunov missed its targets by at least an inch to either side, while the M24 hit all its targets right in the center. The M24 took the Edge due to its greater accuracy.
