In the second season, opener, it was determined that the Spartan, and Samurai were the biggest contenders for the title of deadliest, Ancient Warrior. Both their weapons were tested again for the new match, among them was the Kanabo, which was tested against the Spartan shield. Unlike the Viking Shield, the Spartan's could not be broken, and could only be dented. When the test ended, the Shield had been flattened to a degree, but was still very much usable, giving the Spartan the edge in special weapons.
