The Ice Pick is a household tool which could serve as a stabbing weapon. It was the Special Weapon of the Mafia.
Description[]
An ice pick is simply a metal spike attached to a short wooden handle.

Use[]
Because it concentrates the force of a strike onto a very fine point, the ice pick is a very effective stabbing tool, capable of piercing the skull with little effort. Unlike a traditional dagger; the ice pick is a very common and cheap kitchen utensil that does not require a permit of any kind.
Other tools like screwdrivers have also been used as improvised shanks. In prison; broken glass or sharpened objects (spoons, forks, pipes or toothbrushes) are commonly used to assault other inmates.
Historical Uses[]
Possibly the most feared hitman of Murder Inc. (a collaboration of Mafia hitmen during the 1930s & 1940s) was Abraham "Kid Twist" Reles. Abe frequently used the Ice Pick as his signature weapon; normally stabbing victims through their ear.
Trivia[]
- The Stiletto is used for the majority of the fight in the Deadliest Warrior episode, despite not being listed as a weapon and the Ice Pick being the listed dagger.
- Other ice tools have been used as murder weapons. Leon Trotsky was assassinated by an Ice Axe.
