Landmines

Landmines is an explosive device designed to be set in place ahead of time and detonate when the enemy is in close proximity to it. Their main advantage is that it can kill an enemy without anyone having to engage them in combat. However, the disadvantage of the landmine (and the reason why they are so controversial) is that they are indiscriminate weapons, harming enemies and allies, soldiers and civilians alike.
