Black Powder Weapons

Black powder weapons were the earliest gunpowder weapons and were prominent till late 19th century. These weapons used gunpowder, also known as black powder, which was the first chemical explosive and the only one known until the mid 1800s. Black powder projectile weapons were muzzle-loaded, single shot weapons that were revolutionary in their time. Black powder was also used in primitive explosives and grenades.
