The Camillus is a combat knife produced by the Camillus Cutlery Company. It was the Close Range weapon of the French Foreign Legion.
The Camillus combat knife is similar in appearance to the KA-BAR knife, with a long straight blade ending in a clip point, and a grip made from leather washers.
The Camillus is used for cutting, slicing and thrusting, and was used both as a fighting knife and a utility knife. Camillus shipped more than 13 million knives of various styles to the Allies during World War II, the most well-known being the 1219C2/Mark 2 Fighting Utility Knife.
