The Briefcase gun is a concealed firearm designed for covert operations. It was the Medium Range weapon of the CIA.
Description
The Briefcase gun is just that, a gun inside of a specially designed briefcase. The gun was fired by pulling a string attached to the trigger which was fed through several pulleys and out the top of the briefcase to a ring near the handle of the briefcase. Different models of firearms could be used, with a Walther PP with a silencer used on the show.

Uses
The Briefcase gun is specially designed for covert assassinations when the shooter must remain concealed before, during, and after the hit. With the silencer, the user can fire at his target without drawing unwanted attention to himself.
The main disadvantage is that the weapon can not be aimed as the gun is at the user's knee. Also, while the weapon is initially undetectable, the probability of being found increases exponentially with each shot fired.
