The baseball bat is a wooden club used in the sport of baseball or as an improvised weapon. It was the close-range weapon of the Mafia.
The baseball bat reappeared in the Zombies vs Vampires episode as a weapon used against zombies due to being so common or easy to find.
Description
The wooden baseball bat is typically made from ash, although it can also be made from maple, hickory, or bamboo. The bat is no larger than 2.75 inches in diameter at its thickest part and generally no longer than 42 inches. The average bat weighs around 2 pounds.
Bats are designed to hit a thrown baseball with a lot of force in a small area, as is the idea of the game 'baseball'. However, because of the hardness of the bat and blunt force it has, the bat has been used by many criminals as a murder weapon. It is one of the largest, most lethal and popular modern day melee weapons and isn't outlawed by most governments due to the sports popularity.
Uses
Like many of the Mafia's weapons, the baseball bat was easy to use, easy to obtain, and highly effective. It is more than capable of breaking bones in a single swing and is legal to carry without requiring a permit.
