The Apache knife was a short-bladed cutting and stabbing weapon. It was the Mid-Range weapon of the Apache.
Description[]
The Apache knife consisted of a stone or bone blade attached to a wooden handle, although steel blades later became available to the Apache through trade.
Specs[]
Length: 5-8 inches
Weight: 1 pound
Composition: Bone, stone, or iron blade
Uses[]
Apache warriors usually used the knives for throwing or for up-close stabbing. Once an enemy was incapacitated or killed, the Apache would take off his opponent's scalp with his knife and keep it. Good Apache warriors usually had three knives or more with them at once: but could carry over a dozen if they wanted to.
Test in the Show[]
It was able to penetrate three wood targets from 15 feet away in under 3 seconds. However, it did not get the edge over the Gladiator's Trident/Net combo. When tested in the sim, the knife got 266 kills, making it the Apache's most effective weapon.
Trivia[]
- Many Ancient societies without currency used knives as commodity money.
