Example
The FFrench Foreign Legion applied this tactic at the Battle of Bir Hakeim aganst the Nazis and Italin forces during WWll. The FFL try to stop the German and Italian forces in their advance to the suize canal. The German and Italeian forces form a band around Bir Hakeim and the the Franch forces are outnumberd 10 to 1, but every time the Nazi's and Italeans get close they get blowen away with anti-tank gun fire and rifel fire keeping the Axis at bay. The FFL also conduct night time raides on supply lines that the Germans use to supply themselfs slowing down the German and Italin process of resupplying themselfs, forceing the Nazi's and Italian forces to change their formation to protact their supply lines
